Safe, Sustainable Cookware

Nonstick sometimes gets a bad rap, and rightfully so – nonstick coatings of the past were known to peel, flake, and crack, and production of these coatings was dangerous for the environment. We’re as concerned with the safety of the products we use for ourselves and our families as you are, so we’ve worked every day since we started producing nonstick cookware in Denmark to ensure that we were doing things differently. Our nonstick is made without PFOA, PFOS and all other PFAS of concern, and we continue to pursue the safest, best quality nonstick components available with each passing year. 

We source our proprietary nonstick material exclusively from European suppliers, which means they are required to meet some of the strictest government regulations in the world when it comes to the environment, food safety, and manufacturing practices. The ingredients in our cookware are safe, environmentally inert, and completely bound inside the hardened surface of our pans, so there is no risk of these migrating out. The Danish consumer council TÆNK has deemed cookware made with these ingredients completely safe, as has the FDA. As part of our ongoing quest to produce the best nonstick pans on the market, we are constantly testing nonstick surface materials from all over the world, and we are confident that our nonstick is the best performing, most durable, and long lasting available. But we never rest on our laurels – when a better material becomes available, you can be sure we will bring it to you.

While safety is at the forefront of our values, there’s another factor not often taken into consideration when it comes to nonstick – durability. We believe that the durability and longevity of a product is just as important as making it safe to use. Anything that can only be guaranteed for a year or two before ending up in a landfill can never truly be called “green,” so we work tirelessly to create products that are made to last. With a defect rate of just under 1%, we can confidently say that our pans really do last when cared for correctly.

Our pans are so durable, in fact, that they are used in many professional kitchens worldwide. Wassim Hallal of 2-Michelin Star restaurant Fredrikshoj, uses our STRATANIUM+ cookware to create his restaurant’s exquisite, precise dishes, telling us, “if it’s no good, you won’t find it in my kitchen.” We are proud to make a product that meets his exacting standards of excellence and will continue to partner with chefs to ensure we’re creating the toughest nonstick pans around.
